Abstract

In this article, the authors challenge stereotypes and critically reflect on women's entrepreneurship by exploring myths related to business creation, specifically those surrounding the sectors in which women entrepreneurs start their businesses. It addresses the accessibility of the sectors of activity and the social determinants influencing the path of women entrepreneurs. Rather than limiting themselves to a descriptive presentation, the authors seek to understand why certain situations persist. It emerges that the situation of women is strongly rooted in an entrepreneurial ecosystem where biases persist and consequently favor little diversity of women entrepreneurs. Recommendations and courses of action are proposed to counter this unique model.
